Dr. Avani Dave is an optometrist and director of the specialty contact lens service at the Ross Eye Institute. She conducts primary care eye examinations as well as routine and specialized contact lens fittings for patients with corneal disease, dry eye disease, post corneal transplant, post refractive surgery and aphakia. Dave‘s clinical focus is managing ocular surface and corneal conditions through therapeutic contact lenses such as custom soft, hybrid, rigid gas permeable and scleral contact lenses.

She is a member of the Scleral Lens Education Society, Gas Permeable Lens Institute, American Academy of Optometry, Canadian Association of Optometrists and Beta Sigma Kappa National Optometric Honor Society. Dave is a recipient of the New England College of Optometry’s Presidential Scholarship and the J&J Vision Care Award of Excellence in Contact Lens Patient Care. Born and raised in Toronto, Dave is fluent in Gujarati and Hindi.
