What Is Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (MGD)?

What to Expect During Treatment


Your provider will first evaluate your eyes and eyelids to determine the severity of your dry eye disease and meibomian gland function.

Understanding Dry Eye Dry eye occurs when the eyes don’t make sufficient tears or when they evaporate too quickly. Tears play a key part in keeping the surface of the eye lubricated, nourished, and protected.
